Let's Tell The Truth

I so wish someone who identifies as gay would just admit that the reason the lesbian/gay community takes issue with ex-gays is because if a person like myself was able to leave homosexuality behind then there can be no special rights based soley on sexual preferences.

My testimony is one of many. There are many of us who truly thought we were born gay and we lived our lives as such. Then through the power of God, not an ex-gay ministry, we have had the scales removed from our eyes in order to see the truth that God did not make us that way, gay

Somehow, in our lost state, we came to that conclusion, that we were born gay, we rationlized it in one way or another because we wanted to have pleasure, sexual pleasure, though I did not realize at the time that that is what I was doing. We believed our rationalizations and those of others and so it came to be!

Those active and caught in the lies of homosexuality do not want to hear that there are actually people coming out of being gay . . .those active in the gay life say to themselves: "no that can not be" . . . "how can they change". . "they are born that way" . . . "Oh, well, they must never have been gay to start with! Oh, well, this whole ex-gay movement is a crock of bull!" I use to think the same thing folks. Until praise God my eyes were open to these lies. Oh how easy it seems I listened to those lies back then and for almost 20 years.

Oh what a tangled web we weave folks for a bit of sexual pleasure . . .The sad thing is we actually believe our own lies . . . Oh how I pray for those who are still captive to the lies of homosexuality . . .God please open their eyes before it is too late . . . Lord my heart aches for them . . . help those who are caught in the web to be set free . . . and those who are not gay but believe it is 'okay' open their eyes as well God, I beseech you!

Hi Charlene,

You are correct when you say that the reason the GLTQ community doesn't like our theology is because that means that freedom and change are indeed possible. I lived that way for twenty years myself. I didn't think I had a choice. I was in relationship for 17 and a half of those years.

When choice became an option, it meant that change had to be made if I were to chose a new path. Change includes for me giving up a nearly shattered relationship with a partner, leaving behind house, job,and friends. It ultimately meant leaving the city I living in and relocating in order to start fresh. But more than all of these things it meant looking into the depth of my own brokeness and taking it before the Cross of Christ, asking for forgiveness, believing that I was forgiven, then walking out my santification...in other words living in process.

I am not perfect. I struggle with many things on many levels, but I am forgiven. I must now act like someone who has been forgiven. This is not an easy road, but the road to recovery is a blessed road.

If the gay/lesbian community were to accept that challenge, then they would also have to accept that fact that they were wrong in many of their claims. I think the whole thing has more to do with pride of being right and the difficulty of change then anything else.

Fellow Warrior thank you so much for your comment. Oh that others could enjoy the peace that we have found through Christ Jesus. Let us pray that their eyes be opened to the lies you and I used to believe whole heartedly!

Fellow Warrior I agree about pride being a major stumbling block. "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."

But I also say that the homosexual "work" is authored by the enemy of God, and therefore is not only riddled with lies and building up of that which is hateful to God such as pride, but ultimately it leads to death, as all things from the Father of Lies lead to death.

Look at the whole garment associated with the gay agenda. With it comes pro-abortion, redefining family, sexual freedom, overarching women's rights, man-hating. (Generalizing here) The issues that swirl around the gay life are all antithetical to what God wants for His people.

God points to life, and His enemy points to death.

Is that too sweeping a statement?

I wish the enemy of God would realize that there is no comeback . . . the enemy has lost yet he still tries to win . . .
